Elsie R. Schlegel

Elsie R. Schlegel, 94 formerly of Shoemakersville and Denver died October 3rd in the Ephrata Hospital. She had resided at the Fairmount Home in Ephrata for several years. Elsie was the widow of Melvin G. Schlegel who died March 11, 2004. She was born in Mohrsville and was the daughter of the late Leon and Mamie (Koller) Swoyer. Elsie was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville and a member of the Women's Guild. She is survived by one son, Ronald M. husband of Patricia Schlegel, Ephrata, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Fairmount Home Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA where memorial contributions will also be accepted in lieu of flowers. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the chapel. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, Shoemakersville. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
