Elsie Mae (Hinkle) Hoover, 96, formerly of 405 Fairview Street, Hyde Villa, died April 10th at 4:15 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where she had been since December 30th.
She was the widow of Howard P. Hoover who died March 21, 1976.
Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Clara M. (Fox) Hinkle.
Hoover worked as a laborer for several years at Rosedale Knitting Mills, Laureldale and last worked as a sales clerk for Whitner's, Reading until her retirement.
She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Temple where she was the last surviving charter member of the church which started in 1932.
Hoover is survived by a daughter, Doris E. (Hoover) wife of Kenneth L. Brossman of Hyde Villa.
Other survivors include three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday 1:00 p.m. in Epiphany Lutheran Church, 631 North Temple Blvd., Temple, Pa 19560. Rev. Lynda L. Elmer officiating. Viewing Noon until time of service. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. Contributions may be made to the church. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
