Elsie May Fisher

Elsie May (Belles) Fisher, 92, of Laureldale, died November 30, 2014 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the wife of the late Wilson B. Fisher, who died August 19, 1975.

Born June 7, 1922, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Walter H. and Elsie May (Bowman) Belles.

Elsie was employed as an examiner with Lyons Knitwear, Temple for 15 years and then, Intel's Sandwich Shop for 12 years.

She was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale, where she was a member of the Senior Choir and on the prayer chain for many years.

Elsie was a member of Widows Might, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a member of Muhlenberg Garden Club and active with the rummage sale. She was also a patient representative while she was a resident at ManorCare.

Surviving is her daughter, Sandra R., wife of George H. Gerhard, Jr. of Laureldale and their son, Christopher G., husband of Sasha Gerhard of Manassas, VA and their daughter, Savilla Belles Gerhard.

Elsie was predeceased by a brother, Walter Belles and her three sisters, Florence Wagonseller, Ruth Wolfskill and Helen Boyer.

Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
