Elsie L. Bordner

Elsie L. Bordner, 99 formerly of Leesport died May 3rd in Berks Heim where she had resided the past 5 ½ years. She was the widow of Clarence W. Bordner, Sr. who died February 1, 1965. Elsie was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late Howard S. and Sallie E. (Dunkle) Hartman. She was a member of St. Thomas UCC, Bernville. Elsie was a homemaker most of her life. She is survived by 1 daughter ; Garnetta E. wife of Carl Gruber, Upper Bern Township, 1 sister; Grace widow of Alvin Bowers, Topton, her companion; Clyde Stoyer, Leesport and his daughters; Donna Johnson, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Doris wife of Roger Davis, Bernville, 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren and her daughter in law, Ruth Bordner , Hamburg. She was predeceased by 1 son; Clarence W. Bordner, Jr, 2 sisters; May Schappell and Naomi Rentschler and 3 brothers; Arlan, Alton and Nevin Hartman. Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 Pm from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from Noon until 1:00 Pm.
