Eloise R. Hammes

Eloise Regina Hammes, 94, formerly of Robeson Township and Shillington died May 6, 2012 in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Reading.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 9, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Frederic J. and Ethel M. (Snyder) Hammes.

She was a founding member of St. Benedict's R.C. Church, Robeson Twp. and its CCD program.

Eloise was employed a number of years at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center as the new born baby photographer and the assistant medical photographer.

She is survived by two siblings: Marcella, widow of Robert K. Boland of Spring Twp., and Donald E., husband of Mary M. (Harcar) Hammes of Robeson Township.

Eloise was predeceased by three siblings: Dorothy C. Hammes, Frederic J. Hammes Jr. and Frank E. Hammes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am in St. Benedict's R.C. Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd., Plowville. A viewing will be held one hour prior to Mass in the Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1541 Alta Drive, #204, Whitehall, PA 18052.
