Elmer Robert Stuebner

Elmer R. Stuebner, 94, of Bern Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in the care of Penn State St. Joseph with his loving wife of 76 years, Jean (Remppel) Stuebner at his bedside.

Born in Reading to the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Ritter) Stuebner, Elmer left high school to enter the Army Airborne during WWII. After leaving the service, he worked in construction before co-founding E.R. Stuebner Construction Company, which he co-owned for over 30 years.

Elmer and Jean were always together. If they were not together, then he was probably golfing on one of the men's trips.

Elmer's memory will be treasured always by his wife, Jean, by their niece, Virginia, and by his second cousin, Robert Orlando. Elmer was predeceased by his sisters, Myrtle and Marian, and his brother, James.
