Elmer Paul Logan

Elmer P. "Butch" Logan, Jr, 69, of Orwigsburg, passed away on August 27, 2024 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Jolynn (Auton) Logan. They married on May 14, 1994 and shared 30 years together.

Born in Reading on May 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Sevilla (Burton) and Elmer P. Logan, Sr. He worked as a Class A CDL driver for over 10 years, last driving in 2001. Butch logged over a million miles over-the-road, and then drove locally. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going out to bars to listen to his favorite bands with friends, wood working, building models, and baking.

Butch is survived by his 6 children; 3 step-children; 15 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren; his sister, Harriet East, of Kokomo, IN; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; 1 great-niece; and 3 great-nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters; 1 daughter; 1 step-grandson; and 1 nephew.

The services for Butch will be held privately at the request of the family. Since Butch loved his dogs, the family asks in lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA at 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, PA 17963.
