Ellsworth P. Glass

Ellsworth P. (Ed) Glass, 70, of Spring Township, passed away September 3, 2015, at Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Kathleen L. (Linderman) Glass; they were married for 52 years.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Amos J. and Mary I. (Santoro) Glass.

He was a 1963 graduate of Wilson High School.

Ed was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He was employed by Dana Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

Ed was a life-long Philadelphia sports fan and an avid bowler and golfer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debra A., wife of Brett J. Aron, Sinking Spring and Andrea L. Glass, wife of Matthew J. Heffner, Lancaster; two siblings, Marie Bielawski, Cumru Township and John A. Glass, Delray Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Alexa L. Aron and Taylor N. Aron and his faithful four-legged friend, Frankie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 740 Cherry St., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
