Ellenora K. Rhoads

Ellenora K. ( Kroenig) Rhoads, 87, of West Reading, died November 9, 2007 in Spruce Manor, West Reading.

She was the wife of 61 years to Robert W. Rhoads Sr., West Reading.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosalie H. (Hartman) Kroenig.

Ellenora graduated from West Reading High School in 1937 and Kutztown University in 1944 where she received a BA in Elementary Education.

She worked as an elementary school teacher for two years at Hamburg School District and nineteen years at West Reading Elementary School retiring in 1981.

Ellenora was a Sunday School Teacher then later a member at Wyomissing United Church of Christ, Goglersville and a member of the consistory.

She was a former member of the West Reading Recreation Board.

Survivors include three sons Robert W. Jr., West Reading, John A. husband of Donna, Salida, Col, and Mark I. husband of Robin, Fleetwood., and two daughters Rosalie A. wife of Newton Bruington, Lincoln City, Oregon, and Mary R. wife of Dennis Sicher , Norristown.

She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother.

Other survivors include five grandchildren Robert James, Mary Kate Sicher, Nora Sicher, Nicole Rhoads, and Emily Sicher.

Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11:00am. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home., Inc. 739 Penn Ave. West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Hains Church Cemetery, Wernersville.
