Ellen M. Walter

Ellen M. Walter, 84, of Exeter Township, passed away May 2, 2013 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Nelson F. Walter.

Born in Cornwall, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Erma (Grimes) Kleinfelter.

Ellen worked for King Kup Schoener Candies, retiring in 1978.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: Timothy A. Walter, Shillington and Nelson F. Walter, Jr., Sinking Spring. Also surviving are her brother, Carl Kleinfelter, Lebanon; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ellen was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara W. Larsen and six siblings: Raymond Kleinfelter, Jr., John Kleinfelter, Doris Davis, Liz Bomgardner, Pat Lazer and Marian Kotzke.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19604.
