Ellen Mcmullen - Zintak

Ellen L. (Smith) McMullen Zintak, 78, passed away September 9, 2017, in her Wyomissing residence.

She was the beloved wife of Benjamin J. Zintak, who passed away October 1, 2015

Born in Chester February 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Lillian S. (Zajano) Smith

Ellen was an active member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was a 1956 graduate of Notre Dame High School for Girls, Moylan, PA , and also the Philadelphia Banking Institute, Philadelphia.

Ellen held multiple positions with Delaware County National Bank, Chester; El Paso State National Bank, El Paso, Texas, and Wyomissing Provident and New Home Savings and Loans, Wyomissing.

She was a member of the President George W. Bush's Roundtable. She also served as St. Joseph's Hospital representative on President Ronald Reagan's Healthcare Committee, past president and member of St. Joseph's Hospital Women's Board and officer for St. Joseph's Hospital Board of Trustee's.

Ellen is survived by her three children, Julie L., wife of Alan Cohen, Mt. Kisco, NY; Stephen R. McMullen, Oley; and David M., husband of Bridget L. McMullen, Wernersville. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Dylan R. Cohen, Daniel S. McMullen, Andrew D. McMullen, Jessica L. McMullen and Maggie N. McMullen.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald J. Smith and sister, Susan E. Brooks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St Albans Dr, Whitfield, PA, with entombment to follow at Gethsemane Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
