Ellen M. Mcgrath

Ellen M. McGrath, 76, passed away November 5, 2021, in her Spring Township residence.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Fox) Lucas.

Ellen was a graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an Administrative Caseworker for over 30 years.

Ellen was an avid animal lover and enjoyed watching her favorite home makeover shows and soap operas. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Ellen was an individual who cared for all she encountered and would consider them all family. In return, the neighborhood considered her the "neighborhood grandmom". She will be remember as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her three grandchildren, Kate (MacLuskie) Moser, Mechanicsburg, PA; Brian M. MacLuskie, West Lawn, PA; and Casey A. MacLuskie, Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her niece, Cathleen M. Bitler; nephews, Stephen J. Lucas and Matthew D. Lucas; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rose Moser.

Ellen was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen M. MacLuskie; brothers, Joseph A. Lucas and William J.

Lucas; nephew, John Lucas and her three canine companions, Cinnamon, Honey and Kiki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:30am in Gethsemane Chapel of St. George, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605, with burial to follow. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:00am to 10:00am. at the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560.
