Ellen M. Weller

Ellen M. Weller, 100 formerly of West Lawn, died September 21, 2010 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Her husband Leon L. Weller died January 8, 1982.

Born in Sinking Spring, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Ida (Kreitz) Harding.

She was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School.

Ellen was owner of Weller's Grocery Store from 1940-1953 and co-owner of Weller's Tavern from 1958-1977.

She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring.

Ellen is survived by two children, Larry L., husband of Cecie Weller, West Lawn and Linda L., wife of Sidney E. Hill, Wyomissing; her step-daughter, Fern M., wife of Joseph G. Walter, Bern Township; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sister, Pauline Firing.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be Pleasant View Cemetery.
