Ellen C. Rentschler

Ellen C. (Miller) Rentschler, 90, of Fleetwood, formerly Temple died January 21, 2012 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of William J. Rentschler who died April 12, 2007

Born April 19, 1921 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Thomas) Miller.

Ellen was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

She loved to play bingo and enjoyed going out for dinner.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (Shade), wife of Ray Young of Fleetwood and a step-son, Donald P. Rentschler of Issaquah, WA.

Other survivors include a brother Kenneth Miller of Adamstown and a sister, Dorothy (Miller), wife of Raymond Miller of Urban Acres; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Ellen was predeceased by a son, Donald Shade, a grandson, Donald Shade, two brothers, Thomas Miller and Gerald Miller and a sister, Virginia Meck.

Services will be Wednesday at 12 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
