Elizabeth C. Tilden

Elizabeth C. Tilden, 93, of Reading, passed away June 4, 2021.

Her husband, Joseph J. Tilden, passed away on November 13, 1999.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late C. LeRoy and Miriam R. (Ganter) Ebersole.

She was a graduate of West Reading High School in 1946.

Elizabeth was a credit manager for Pomeroy's, Berkshire Mall until her retirement.

She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, where she served as a Extraordinary Minister. Elizabeth loved to travel, especially with her husband, and selflessly volunteered at various non-profit organizations throughout her life.

She is survived by three children: Thomas L (Dawn) Tilden, Schuylkill Haven; Patricia A. (Joseph) Stefkovich, Cedar Grove, NJ; and Deborah A. (Ronald) Seidel, Kutztown. There are four grandchildren: Aaron Michael, Deanna Barry, Aubree Shanaman, and Bryce Boyer, and four great-grandchildren: Zachary, Paige, Brooke, and Quinn.

She was predeceased by one son, Joseph Tilden and one sister, Miriam R. Ryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
