Elizabeth Loucille Schaeffer

Elizabeth Loucille (Nimmerichter) Schaeffer, 73, died in her Amity Township residence.

She was the wife of Harry David Schaeffer whom she married September 7, 1991.

Born June 21, 1939 in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Lottie (Houck) Nimmerichter.

Elizabeth was a 1957 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School.

She worked as a farmer for many years and retired from Kerr Custom Molding, Birdsboro.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Amityville, where she was an active volunteer.

She loved gardening and the outdoors. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

A selfless person, Elizabeth's passion in life was to always put others first, especially to care for her family.

Also surviving are her four children: Michael A. Rhoads, boyfriend of Jody L. Jones of Birdsboro; Bryan N., husband of Barbara E. Rhoads of Pine Bush, NY; Lisa M., wife of Christopher T. Gorman of Exeter Township and Brenda J. McAfee, girlfeind of Dennis A. Borowski of Exeter Township.

In addition, she is survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her grandson, Hunter J. McAfee who died June 10, 1996 as well as five brothers and four sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 1312 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
