Elizabeth M. Reiner

Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Ebbert) Reiner, 92, a resident of Phoebe Berks, Wernersville, died October 10, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, The Rev. Rollin T. Reiner, passed away June 26, 2005.

Born in Wyomissing, she was a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Rhea M. (Stout) Ebbert.

Betty was a graduate of Wyomissing High School and Albright College.

She worked for the Reading Eagle and the Reading Public Library before devoting her life to caring for her husband and raising her children.

Betty was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church, where she was the director and teacher of the Kindergarten Sunday School Department and later helped form and taught at the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class. She was also a long time member of the choir and played piano for several children's choirs.

She was a member of the Phoebe Berks Choraleers and a former member of the West Lawn Story League.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca A., wife of Jerry Harris of Perkasie, Rachel M., wife of Gary Auman of Centerville, Ohio and Stephanie E., wife of Robert Mays of Sinking Spring, Berks County. She was a beloved grammie to six grandchildren: Brooks Harris, Cheyenne, WY; Thomas Harris, Centre Hall; James Harris, Perkasie; Meg Auman, Centerville, OH; Holly Mays-Loper, Wernersville and Todd Mays, Wyomissing and a beloved great-grammie to seven great-grandchildren: Cody, Clay, Rollin, Joshua, Katie Beth, Dulcinea and Gabriella. Also surviving is her brother, C. William Ebbert, FL.

Betty was predeceased by her brother, Robert Ebbert.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in West Lawn United Methodist Church, Penn & Woodside Avenues, West Lawn, Pa 19609. A viewing will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. in the church. Burial will be in St. Thomas United Church of Christ Cemetery, Bernville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address. Edward J.
