Elizabeth C. Raker

Elizabeth C. Raker, 88, longtime resident of the Oley area, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. She was the wife of Donald Raker for 64 years until his death in 2017. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late George and Annetta (Dellecker) Lewis.

Graduating in 1950 from Springfield High School, Elizabeth had plans of modeling and attending Temple University prior to unexpectedly contracting polio, but despite this life altering hardship, she and Donald were married and over the years raised four boys. In addition to owning an antique store, being active in the community and at church, working as a secretary and mother, Elizabeth was also President of Don Raker's Bond's affiliated RTR Trucking Company.

Elizabeth's loving and generous nature will be forever remembered by her surviving sons Ben and Todd, by her many grandchildren including Lorena, Luke, Amanda, Jarrett, and Jamie; by her sister Barbara; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She now joins in heaven her husband Don, her sons Jonathan and Robert, her brother George and her sister Ruth.

Contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Children's Diabetes Foundation, 4380 South Syracuse, Suite 430, Denver, CO 80237.

Services will be private at the convenience of her family. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, West Reading is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences, tributes, and fond memories may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
