Elizabeth M. Marshall

Elizabeth Mary "Betz" (Losoncy) Marshall, 85, of Reading, died January 20, 2015 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the widow of Ernest J. Marshall who died June 12, 1983.

Born October 9, 1929 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Macsisak) Losoncy.

Elizabeth was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.

Her working career included bookkeeping jobs at Reading Hardware, Zweigit Coal Yard and later as a purchasing agent for the Molly Corporation. Lastly, she was employed as a buyer with Jetco Catalog Showroom, Reading for 10 years, subsequently she was employed as a manager with Wes Freedman Catalog Showroom, Reading, retiring in 1988.

Elizabeth was a member of Olivet Reformed UCC, Reading.

She enjoyed playing volleyball, bowling and golfing and in her later years, gardening.

Elizabeth loved dogs, especially her St. Bernard, Brandy.

Surviving are her two sons: Ernest J., Jr., husband of Kathern A. Marshall of Shoemakersville and Gregory A., husband of Kathleen J. Marshall of Plowville.

Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Sean and Gabrielle.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers, Zoltan and George and her sisters, Pearl and Margaret.

Services will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
