Elizabeth Q. Karabinos

Elizabeth Q. "Betty" Karabinos, 92, of Wyomissing died January 7, 2015, after a brief illness in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of the late Frank J. Karabinos, who passed away June 21, 1989.

Born Ten, Ten Twenty-Two, in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura (Fox) Palm.

Betty worked as an examiner for Berkshire Knitting Mills. After raising her daughter she worked for Narrow Fabric, West Reading, retiring in 1987.

She was a long time parishioner of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.

Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed watching her cooking shows and Fox News. She loved to take walks with her walking group around the Berkshire Mall, go out to eat with family and friends and go to her hair dresser weekly.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn E., wife of Jeffry Pennington, Blandon. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Megan L. Pennington and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty is the last of 14 brothers and sisters.

Service will be Thursday at 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
