Elizabeth Cave Hammond, 91, of Myerstown, died January 3, 2010 in Reading Hospital.
She was the wife of Frank J. Hammond, Jr. who died October 15, 1982.
Born October 2, 1918 in Charleston, SC she was a daughter of the late Lewis Guy and Annie Poyas (Lee) Cave.
Elizabeth graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in Business.
She was a member of St. Phillips Episcopalean Church, Charleston, SC.
Other memberships include Daughters of American Revolution and Women's Club of Muhlenberg.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey F., husband of Gina L. Hammond of Sinking Spring and a daughter Joan L. Hanley and Fred Scheidegger of Spring Township.
Elizabeth was predeceased by a sister Eleanore C. Hill and a brother Joshua A. Cave.
Memorial Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
