Elizabeth H. Geib

Elizabeth H. Geib, 92, formerly of Lincoln Park, died November 29, 2009 in her Sencit Townhouse residence.

Her husband, Paul R. Geib died November 27, 1994.

Born in Minersville, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Gertrude (Schaefer) Hammer.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Reading High School, 1936, and attended the McCann Business School.

She was employed as a sales associate by Whitner's Department Store, Reading and later for Tersuhow's Department Store, Reading.

She was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.

Elizabeth was a den mother for the Lincoln Park Cub Scouts for many years.

She is survived by her two sons: Paul R., husband of Lillian Geib, Spencer, VA and Barry L. Geib, Lincoln Park. She is also survived by her two grandchildren: Richard Geib, Lakeland, FL and Beth, wife of Seth Buswell, Columbus OH.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Donald P. Hammer.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Laureldale Chapel. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 4 Cambridge Ave, Reading, PA 19609.
