Elizabeth L. Ebbert

Elizabeth L. (Shuman) Ebbert, 80, of 201 Olive Street, West Reading, died May 18th at 5:45 pm in the Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Tilden Township, where she had been since April 27th.

She was the widow of Irwin W. Ebbert, who died March 21, 2003.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Mamie K. (Gerber) Shuman.

She was a 1941 graduate of West Reading High School.

Ebbert was employed for 20 years at Berkshire Knitting Mills and later worked for 16 years for Vanity Fair, Corp., Wyomissing, last working in July of 2000.

She was a member of St. James Church, West Reading.

Ebbert is survived by two daughters, Elaine L. (Ebbert) wife of Gary Brown of Muhlenberg Township and Donna L. (Ebbert) wife of Eron Showers Sr., of Tilden Township.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and one step-grandson.

Services will be Friday at 11:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing 10:30 am until time of service. Rev. Schaun C.J. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Contributions may be made to St. James Church, 7th and Penn Avenues, West Reading, Pa 19611.
