Elizabeth Ann Eastburn

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Eastburn, 87, formerly of Laureldale, passed away November 3, 2013 in Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

She was the widow of Donald Lewis Eastburn, who died September 1, 2009.

Born in Laureldale, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Emily (Krick) Kramer.

Betty attended Muhlenberg High School.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

Betty loved spending time with her family and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandson. She also loved traveling, especially to Delaware where she and her family spent their summers. Other enjoyments in her life included playing in the card club with friends, bingo, and bird watching.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Jane, wife of Carl C. Volker, Centre Township, and sisters: Jane Healy, Blandon, and Mary Schultz, Lewis, DE

Additional survivors include three grandchildren: Peter J. Sweimler, Julie A. Hoffman and Laura E. Maetzig, and great-grandson, Kyle J. Hoffman.

Betty was predeceased by her siblings, Earl "Spike" Kramer, and Marjorie J. Miller.

Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 3300 Kutztown Rd. Laureldale, PA 19605. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave. Bldg. A. Reading, PA 19609-1425.
