Elizabeth A. Farina

Elizabeth A. Farina, 89, of Laureldale, passed away August 28, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, of 60 years, Erman T. Farina, died October 9, 2005.

Born July 22, 1925 in Reading she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Angeline (DeLillo) Calpino.

Elizabeth worked for Berks County Trust Bank before staying home to care for her children; she was an excellent seamstress and spent many years as a 4H leader. She later worked part-time as a clerk for the West Reading Daily Market.

She was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Reading.

Elizabeth's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her two children: Patricia A. Farina, Upper Darby; and JoAnn, wife of Michael J. Gustantino, Temple. Also surviving are her brother, Alvin Calpino, Laureldale; her two grandchildren: Amy E., wife of Russ Perlman, Waxhaw, NC; Michael V., husband of Samantha Gustantino, Harrisburg; and her great-grandson, Chase B. Perlman.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her step brothers: Joseph and Ambrose; and her brothers: Frank, William, and Louis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Chapel, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Entombment will be in the adjoining mausoleum.
