Elisabeth A Hoffmann

Elisabeth A. Hoffmann, 95, of Berkshire Heights, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, in the care of Villa St. Elizabeth. She was the widow of Otto H. Hoffmann, who passed away January 26, 1980.

Born in Neroth, Germany to the late Theodor and Anna (Klaus) Rick, Elisabeth immigrated to the United States in 1952 with her husband and young daughter. A loving mother of seven, Elisabeth held several jobs throughout her life, including at the Deluxe Restaurant and Holiday Inn and with ARA Foods at Holy Name High School.

Left to treasure her memory are her children: Monika Bazis, wife of Ronald, SC; Rosemary Cahill, widow of L. Robert; Matthew Hoffmann Sr., husband of Cindy; Michael Hoffmann, husband of Kim; Rita Behrenshausen, wife of Kurt; and Mark Hoffmann, husband of Tanya; grandchildren: David and Brian Golembiewski; Russell Cahill and Amber Carvalho; Mandy and Matthew Hoffmann Jr.; Erin Follweiler; and Bryn, Justin, and Andrea Behrenshausen; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Elisabeth is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Robert; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hoffmann; and her brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611, with committal to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
