Eleanor C. Wetherhold

Eleanor Catherine (Chelius) Wetherhold, 86, of 866 Fritztown Road, Spring Township, died October 10th at 5:50 pm in Phoebe Health Care Center, Wernersville, where she had been since August 5th.

She was the widow of John A. Wetherhold Sr., who died July 3, 1998.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edwin L. and Mary E. (Burkhart) Chelius.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Wetherhold worked for a number of years as a saleslady and as a clerk in the credit office, for Sears Roebuck, Wyomissing, until her retirement.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane A. (Wetherhold) Steuer of Lower Heidelberg Township.

Other survivors include three sons, John A. Jr., of Brecknock Township, Michael R., of Adamstown, Lancaster County and Frank R., of Hershey, Dauphin County.

There are also 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Viewing Thursday 9:30 - 10:30 am in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
