Eleanor T. Mcginn

Eleanor T. (Szymanski) McGinn, 81, of Morgantown, died March 30, 2009 in the Reading Hospital.

Her husband, William P. McGinn, passed away in 1999.

Born August 6, 1927 in Shamokin, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Ludwig) Szymanski.

She was a 1945 graduate of Coal Township High School.

Eleanor was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton, for over 50 years.

She was last employed by Joanna's Store, Morgantown, working until her retirement in 1993.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Robert P., husband of Lisa (Wagner) McGinn, Mohnton and two daughters: Patricia A. (McGinn), wife of David Rakowiecki, Sinking Spring; Colleen C. (McGinn), wife of Jeffrey High, Birdsboro. Seven grandchildren: Brian, Jennifer, Erin, Jamie, Laura, Amber, Bradley and three great-grandchildren: Gavin, Madison and Kade also survive her.

She was predeceased by her two sisters: Catherine (Szymanski) Bryan and Josephine (Szymanski) Perles and her brother, Edward Simmons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd., Mohnton. Burial will be in Robeson Church Cemetery, Plowville. Friends may call Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading and Friday 9:30 a.m. in the church.
