Eleanor J. Romanski, age 101, formerly of 1245 Monroe Ave., Wyomissing died on October 14, 2017 at The Highlands where she was a resident since1994.

She was married to the late Matthew Romanski former Social Editor of the Reading Eagle Newspaper.

Eleanor was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie Duchynski.

A 1934 graduate of Reading High School she went on to attend Albright College and later to the McCann School of Business.

She was the owner and operator of the Primrose Shop in Reading for over 30 years and conducted numerous fashion shows around the Reading area.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in West Reading.

She is survived by a son Eric, (wife Christina) of Clifton Park, New York and three grandchildren. Kay Lynn (Paul) Burke of Lynnfield, MA; Krista (Michael) Ziobrowski of Clifton Park, NY and Kevin Romanski (Mei Ju Lin) of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Christopher Burke, Madelyn Burke, Marlie Ziobrowski, Elliott Romanski and Victoria Romanski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, 19611. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
