Eleanor M. Henne

Eleanor M. (Eline) Henne, 81, of Wyomissing, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in her residence. She was the loving wife of Terence J. Henne and devoted Mother.

Born in Reading to the late John and Kathryn (McDonnell) Eline, Eleanor graduated from Reading High School in 1960.

Eleanor and Terence, known as "Granny and Pop-Pop," were proud of their kids and grandchildren. Eleanor enjoyed taking vacations, including cruises to Bermuda and the Bahamas. Travel was one of Eleanor's great passions, to San Francisco, New Orleans, and South Carolina by train were among her favorite destination. Especially spending quality time with her husband whenever they visit the casino.

She found much pleasure seeing her grandchildren participate in school sports.

Her lifelong employment accomplishments were many, such as Fluff-n-Stuff at the Berkshire Mall.

She loved her family dearly. Her children were the light of her life and her relationship with many was cherished. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

Left to treasure Eleanor's memories are their children: Dr. T. Eric Henne (Emina) of Glen Mills;

Matthew Henne (Rosa) of Greenfields; and Daniel Henne (Charlene) of Mohrsville; grandchildren, Laura, Daniel, and Shane of Daniel and Charlene Henne; and step grandchildren, Michael, and Gabrielle Knowles of Matthew and Rosa Henne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609, with committal to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery's Chapel of St. George.

Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass.
