Eleanor K. Dillaway, 75, of Wyomissing, passed away on January 24th of natural causes at Phoebe Berks Health Center, Wernersville. She was the wife of Andrew W. Dillaway.
Born in Germantown, she was the daughter of the late Burton F. and Mildred (Mead) Keene.
Eleanor graduated from the University of Delaware in 1953, and attended Oklahoma State University for an Administrative and Dietetic Internship in 1954.
She worked as an Administrative Dietitian for Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Eleanor volunteered for many years as a Republican Committee Woman in Bucks County, with the children's choir at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, as a library aide at Paul W. Kutz Elementary School in Doylestown and Hollymead Elementary School in Charlottesville, VA, and as a girl scout assistant leader in Doylestown.
She is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Dillaway) wife of Dale Anderson, Charlottesville, and Andrea Dillaway- Huber wife of Jim Huber, Wyomissing.
Eleanor is also survived by one sister, Marjorie (Keene) Stevenson, Wakefield, Mass.
There are also four grandchildren, Katie and Steve Huber, Kelly and Ben Anderson. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family.
Gravesides services will be private in Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Charlottsville, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for pediatric cancer research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or donors@stjude.org. Edward J.
