Eleanor F. Cox, 85, formerly of Shillington, went to be with the Lord November 14, 2010 in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her loving daughters by her side.

Her husband, William D. Cox, Jr., died in 2005.

Born in Mohnton, she was a daughter of the late Irvin K. and Ethel M. (Binkley) Wahl.

Eleanor was a sewing machine operator for several knitting mills in Berks County. After retirement, she worked as a nanny for over 20 years in the Wyomissing area.

She loved crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and crafts. She also loved children and gospel music.

Eleanor was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reading.

She is survived by her two daughters: Denise A., wife of Stephen Haage, Sinking Spring and Patty J., wife of John Page, Libertyville, IL. She is also survived by her siblings: Vernon E. Wahl, Cedar Top; Mildred E. Haas, Muhlenberg Township and Elaine K. Zimmerman, Cumru Township. Two grandchildren: Joseph P. Page, Libertyville, IL and Brittany A. Haage, Sinking Spring survive her.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Tiffany M. Cleaveland in 2008 and her siblings: Kenneth I. Wahl, John C. Wahl, Grace A. Ludwig and Williard W. Wahl.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Avenue, Reading, PA 19611. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church at the address above or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 225 City Avenue, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania 19004 in memory of Tiffany M.
