Eleanor Cecelia "Ellie" Lewicki, 84, of Spring Township and formerly of Miller St., Reading, died February 17, 2009 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

Born September 7, 1924 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stephen M. and Cecelia E. (Tomaszewski) Lewicki.

Eleanor was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed as a laboratory manager for the Reading Hospital for over 40 years.

Eleanor was very proud of her first car and her independence.

She loved travelling with family and friends.

Eleanor was an accomplished musician playing the accordion professionally in her younger years.

She was an amateur photographer and she cataloged many years of family history.

Eleanor is survived by one sister, Christine M. (Lewicki), widow of Charles H. "Bud" Binder of Spring Township.

She is also survived by four nephews, three neices and 13 great neices and nephews.

Eleanor was predeceased by two sisters: Helen (Lewicki) Lerario and Dorothy A. Lewicki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 12:00 noon in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Alban's Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until noon in the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Reading.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church at the above address and/or Mary's Shelter, 325 S. 12th Street, Reading, PA 19602.
