Eleanor Beddall, 98, of Hamburg, passed away on January 11th in Laurel Nursing Center, Hamburg. Born in Shenandoah on November 20, 1915 she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emily (Paduka) Jacobs. She was the wife of George Beddall, who passed away in 1965. Eleanor was of the Methodist faith. She worked at Burkey Knitting Mills as a sewing machine operator. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sherry Kistler; brothers: Joseph and Henry; and sisters: Theresa and Elsie. She is survived by her daughter, Meldajane Eyer, Hamburg; a sister, Rita Scarpino, Bloomsburg; one granddaughter, Deann, wife of Greg Werner; 4 great grandchildren: Deidre, Ashley, Andrew, and Alexis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15th, at 11:00 AM from the Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg, with Pastor David Kistler officiating.
