Elaine H. Trainer

Elaine H. Trainer, 78, of Leesport, passed away December 20, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, Frank T. Trainer, died in 1991.

Born April 13, 1936 in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Abram and Helen (Smith) Hiestand.

Elaine was a 1954 graduate of Chester High School.

She worked for four years as a bank teller for Philadelphia National Bank, where she met her husband, Frank.

Elaine was an avid gardener. She enjoyed word puzzles, ice skating, and trips to Cape May. She adored her granddaughters and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda T. Krause, companion of Jonathan P. Brightbill, Wyomissing; and her sister, Jane McCann, Audubon. Also surviving are her granddaughters: Anna F. Krause and Andrea L. Krause; who will miss their "Ammel".

A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Services and burial will be private.
