Elaine Marie (Mehalshick) Stahovich, 75, of Wyomissing, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away May 5, 2014 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the loving wife and friend to Frank Richard Stahovich, with whom she recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary.
Born at home in McAdoo, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kocis) Mehalshick. She was a graduate of McAdoo High School in 1956. Elaine was employed for 25 years as a dental receptionist. She worked for Dr. Larry Fisher, Lincoln Park and Dr. Eric Zehner, Kenhorst Blvd. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Above all else she was a devoted and loving mother to three children, David M., husband of Catherine H. (Becker), Spring Township, Richard F., husband of Karen D. (Cerrito), Lancaster, and Karen A. (Stahovich), wife of Andrew M. Eicherly, Spring Township. Elaine will be always remembered as Grammy and will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren: Sarah, Daniel, Joshua, Elizabeth, Jacob, Andrew and Adam.
She is also survived by her brother, Michael, husband of Gertrude (Bunk) Mehalshick, Schuylkill County. Elaine was predeceased by three siblings, Rita, Johnny and Joseph Mehalshick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 8th at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St Albans Dr, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, McAdoo. Friends may call Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius R.C. Church. Contributions may be made to St. Ignatius R.C.
