Eileen Nora Mckeone

Eileen McKeone, 59, of West Lawn, passed away on September 18, 2021, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born in Reading, Eileen was the daughter of Eugene P. and Margaret T. (Cummins) McKeone.

Eileen attended Holy Name as a member of the class of 1980 before continuing her education at Penn State Berks and a graduate degree from Alvernia.

She was employed at the Reading Eagle, GPU and most recently at United Health Group as a systems analyst.

Eileen was a member of St. Peters RCC, Reading. She loved her cats, Jeep and Duke and all the Philadelphia sports teams especially the Phillies. She was a music enthusiast and avid concert goer; she was especially proud of seeing Bruce Springsteen over 30 times. Very social, she enjoyed hosting parties at her house on her covered deck and pool. She would do anything for anyone, was always selfless, and truly loved her family and friends.

Eileen is survived by her brother, Paul E. McKeone, Kenhorst, her fiancé of Mark B. Chelius, and Mark's son Marky Chelius, She is also survived by a large extended family and many loving friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's RCC, 322 S. 5th St., Reading, PA 19602, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church at the above address.
