Effie L. Wagner

Effie L. Wagner, 83 of Shoemakersville died in her residence April 3, 2013. She was the wife of Ralph R. Wagner. She was born April 13th, 1929 in Greenwich Township and was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Jennie K. (Seip) Kershner. Effie was a 1947 graduate of Hamburg High School. She worked many years at various knitting mills throughout the Hamburg area as a machine operator. She last worked at Mayfair Knitting Mill retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Pike Township Sportsman Association. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 daughter; Jean L. wife of David Amour, Womelsdorf, 1 son; Douglas R. husband of Vicki Wagner, 3 grandchildren; Clayton and Marlee Wagner, Shoemakersville and Mark husband of Keri Amour, Virginia Beach, VA. and 2 great grandchildren; Noah and Abi-Gail Amour. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Norman C. Kershner, Kempton and Richard G. husband of Ruth Kershner, Hamburg, 2 sisters; Verna M. widow of Adam Heffner, Muhlenberg Township, Anna M. widow of Harold Hemerly, Hamburg. Effie was predeceased by a brother; Paul S. Kershner and 2 sisters; Mabel Himmelberger and Esther Biehl. Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
