Edwina Marie Rader

Edwina Marie (Balut) Rader, 62, formerly of Maywood, NJ died March 12, 2008 at 10:36 a.m. in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was the wife of Joseph M. Rader whom she married January 7, 1967.

Born on March 27, 1945 in Passaic, NJ, she was a daughter of Evelyn M. (Grayshock) Balut of Muhlenberg Township and the late Edward J. Balut.

Edwina was a graduate of Wallington High School, Passaic, NJ. She also graduated from Jersey City Medical Center where she became a Registered Nurse.

She was employed by Jersey City Medical Center for a year before moving on to Passaic Beth Israel Hospital, where she was employed for thirty-six years and was manager of Nursing Education Research for over twenty years.

Edwina was a member of Passaic Bergen Nurses Association, Education Training Research.

She was predeceased by one brother, Edward J. Balut, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angel's R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park. A viewing will be held Monday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Inurnment will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery.
