Edwin Rivera Melendez

Edwin Rivera Melendez, 56, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024, in his Shillington residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the companion of Nereida Perez.

Born in Coamo, PR, to the late Jesus Rivera and Carmen Melendez, Edwin graduated from Reading High School in 1986.

He worked for Deka / East Penn Manufacturing as a COS heatseal for 17 years until his passing.

Edwin was a big Green Bay Packer Fan. Of all the good things life offered, he most treasured time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his love, Nereida, Edwin is survived by his children: Vyankia Rivera, Destyni Rivera, Abryana Rivera, and Kayla Rivera; his five grandchildren; his three brothers and four sisters; as well as his nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents and two grandchildren.

A committal service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
