Edward M. York

Edward Michael York, 81, of Riverview Park died March 13th at 10:00 p.m. in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since February 12th.

He was the husband of Milda A. (Sevcik) York.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Kasparek) York.

He was employed for 30 years for the Department of Defense as a Military Intelligence Officer before retiring in 1970.

Edward was a Army Air Corp veteran of WWII.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

Edward is also survived by a daughter, Christine M. York of Columbia, Maryland.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, Pa 19605. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
