Edward J. Schuck

Edward Jerome Schuck, 83, passed away on April 26, 2013 in his Wyomissing home.

He was the loving husband of Carol Ann (Mitchell) Schuck, whom he's been happily married to for 51 years.

Born October 19, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Edward H. and Emma H.(Dettling) Schuck.

He was a graduate of Trinity High School, Long Island, NY. He attended college at Rutgers University in New Jersey where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.

Edward retired from Occidental Chemical Company in 1993.

He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Edward was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading. He enjoyed golf and bowling and Civil War history.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his four children: David, husband of Jennifer Schuck of Hutchinson, KS; Richard, husband of Michele Schuck of Falls Church, VA; Julie Schuck of Reading and Diane Schuck of Buffalo, NY and his six grandchildren.

Edward was predeceased by his three sisters, Emma, Madeline and Ann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reding. A viewing will be held from 8-10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
