Edward N. Rothermel

Edward Nelson Rothermel, 77, of Muhlenberg Township, died of natural causes February 26th at 12:40 pm in the Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where he had been since February 21st.

He was the husband of Dorothy Gertrude (Ache) Rothermel.

Born in Hyde Park, he was a son of the late Nelson S. and Elda (Borrell) Rothermel.

He was a 1946 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and a 1950 graduate of Rider (N.J.) College.

Rothermel was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Muhlenberg Township.

He was a National Guard Veteran of the Korean War.

Rothermel was employed 27 years at Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township before retiring as a supervisor in 1985.

He was a life member of Goodwill Fire Company, Hyde Park.

Rothermel was a past board member of the Reading Radio Club.

Services were private. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 4987 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, Pa 19605.
