Edward P. Racis

Edward P. Racis, 91, formerly of West Lawn, died August 16, 2010 in Manor Care, Sinking Spring.

His wife, Ann R. (Rogich) Racis died October 16, 1990.

Born in New Ringgold, he was a son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Gurzewicz) Racisz.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Edward was employed by Berks Packing for 25 years as a truck driver, retiring in 1980.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII.

Edward is survived by two sons, Edward S., husband of "Babs" Racis, Wernersville and Donald E, husband of Diane Racis, Womelsdorf; six grandchildren: Brenna Racis, Bernette Racis, Breeze Racis, Brett Racis, Hannah Racis and Kristin Racis and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading PA 19611. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
