Lanshe, Edward J., 84, of Midland Park, passed away Sunday, January 18th.
He was born in Reading, PA, and is survived by his cousins, Mary Stumhofer of Durham, NH and Patricia Barnhard of Temple, PA.
Ed was graduated from Reading Central Catholic H.S. in 1948. He attended the University of Notre Dame from 1948 to 1954, receiving degrees in Liberal Arts (BA) and Law (JD). After serving in the U.S. Army, he continued his education, receiving an MBA in 1959 from the Wharton Graduate School of Business.
He joined IBM in 1960, and held management positions involving labor, industrial and employee relations issues. He worked in the Data Processing, Office Products and Service Divisions of the IBM domestic organizations. He also served on the corporate staff in Armonk, NY, and the World Trade Headquarters in Westchester, NY. His last assignment was at Franklin Lakes, NJ. He retired in 1989.
Ed was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood, NJ. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 50 years.
Family and friends may visit Friday, 9-10am at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ. The Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1 Passaic Street in Ridgewood. He will be privately buried with his mother and father and other family members in Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale, PA.
