Edward J. Gomosky, 89, Reading, died March 24 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient nine days.

His wife, Josephine M. (Tankus) Gomosky, died Feb. 24, 1997.

Born in Minersville, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Blissgis) Gomosky.

Gomosky was employed for many years as a riveter by Parish Structural Products Division of Dana Corp., Reading, retiring in 1977.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Gomosky was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Surviving are a son, Jay E. Reppert, Wyomissing; a stepson, Arthur Noll, Wyomissing; and two stepdaughters, Tina (Middleton) McDonough, West Reading, and Doris (Noll) O'Toole, Philadelphia.

Other survivors include 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a stepson, Carl Noll, in 1996.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret's R.C. Church, 925 Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601.
