Edward J. Dietrich

Edward J. Dietrich, 88, of Cumru Twp., died April 30 at 9:34 p.m. in Mifflin Center where he had been since March 19, 2005.

He was the husband of Muriel F. (Orth) Dietrich.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Elizabeth (Gatter) Dietrich.

He was employed as a Regional Supervisor for 47 years by Public Finance Service retiring in 1980.

Dietrich was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School.

Dietrich was a member of St. John the Divine (Episcopal), Sun City Florida.

Other survivors include two daughters, Carole D. (Dietrich) Jacoby, Shelton, CT and Arlene D. (Dietrich) Miller, Shillington. There are also 4 grandchildren Barbara (Jacoby) DeLeon, Frederick Jacoby, Derek Scott Miller and Christopher Miller. Finally, there are 5 great grandchildren surviving Mr. Dietrich, David and Sarah DeLeon, Benjamin and Caleb Jacoby and Audrey Miller.

Memorial Services will be Thursday at 10:15 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn, Inc., West Reading. Rev. Harry Erdlin will be the officiant. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Foundations Christian Counseling Center HC2 Box 2043 Rte. 209 Broadheartsville, PA 18322.
