Edward C. Jones

Edward C. Jones, 83, of Spring Township died on April 5th at 9:20 p.m. in his residence. His wife Janet Marie (Peters) Jones died December 5, 2001.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Ida B. (Petree) Jones.

He graduated from the former Shillington High School.

Jones was a welder for Dana Corporation, Reading, for 40 years until his retirement on January 1, 1983.

He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.

Jones was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by three sons; Edward C. Jones of Bomansville, Lancaster County, Thomas M. Jones of Shillington, and Stephen D. Jones of West Reading, and one daughter Susan L. (Jones) Jones of Wyomissing Hills.

Other survivors include 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchild.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Laureldale. Contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Waverly & Brobst Streets Shillington, Pa 19607. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of the arrangements.
