Edna H. Young

Edna H. (Heffner) Young, 93, formerly of Fleetwood, died November 29th at 12:40 pm in the Topton Lutheran Home, where she had been since November 8, 2004.

She was the widow of William T. Young, who died December 7, 1972.

Born in Fleetwood, she was a daughter of the late Oscar H. and Sallie (Beitler) Heffner.

She was a 1927 graduate of Fleetwood High School and a graduate of McCann Business School.

Young was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, where she was a former church treasurer.

She was employed 48 years at The First National Bank of Fleetwood, last working as a cashier before retiring in March 1977.

She is survived by a brother, Earl B. Heffner of Richmond Township and a sister, Mae H. (Heffner) Focht of Topton.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood, Pa 19522. Viewing will be one hour prior to service in church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund at the above address. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
