Edna Jane Bickel

Edna Jane Bickel, 84, formerly of Reading and Fleetwood, died February 3, 2013, in Berks Heim.

Her husband, Donald R. Bickel, died in 2006.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Reinert) Fick.

Edna was first employed by Zipf's and Luden's and later worked for Western Electric until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.

Edna is survived by her children, Donald J., husband of Candy (Goodwin) Bickel, Wyomissing; Nancy, wife of Richard Fritz, Muhlenberg Twp. and Debra, wife of Jeff Steffy, Lincoln Park. There is one sister, Katherine Gibble, WI. Two grandsons, Kevin Fritz and Ryan Spuhler, and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Aleesha Fritz, also survive her.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Melvin, Paul, Bob, Howard and Esther.
